We are seeking a skilled water feature Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for ensuring the proper running and maintenance of water features for our clients. Which includes spring cleaning- draining, power washing, checking lighting systems, ensuring the pumps are working properly check water levels, fix any exposed liner and treat the water. Throughout the season there will be ongoing maintenance to inspect pumps/skimmer intake, check underwater lighting systems, check mechanical & biological filtration, check water level and fix any exposed liner. Trim aquatic plants and remove debris. Observe and test water quality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Perform pond / water feature clean-outs, winter shut downs and regular seasonal maintenance
● Ability to install/diagnose/repair water feature pumps, filters, heaters and low voltage lighting systems
● Must know basic plumbing
● Program and troubleshoot low voltage lighting systems
● Maintain responsive contact with maintenance customers and provide on-site customer service with customers as needed
● Create seasonal schedules and coordinate with clients
● Determine efficient routing schedule for the day’s jobs; Determine which jobs will be handled in which order
● Document and communicate daily work activity
o Clock into job tracking app, input details, materials used/planted and enter payroll hours for team
● Undertake ongoing training within the field of water feature construction and maintenance
● Help in other areas of the business including water feature construction landscape installation & maintenance.
Required Qualifications
● 18 years or older
● Valid, clean driver’s license a must.
● Available to work full time Monday-Friday, plus occasional weekends when necessary
● Must speak fluid English
● Ability to travel to multiple site locations to meet the needs of business
● Must be proficient in Google workspace (Gmail, sheets, google calendar)
● Understanding of plumbing
● Knowledge of pond/ecosystems or pool industry a plus
● Knowledge of low voltage lighting a plus
● Able to lift 75 lbs
● Must be able to bend, stoop and squat throughout an 8-10 hr shift
