Description:

Perform general distribution functions including, but not limited to, picking, packing, checking, stocking, shipping/receiving orders and performing general maintenance duties. Operation of machinery/equipment/forklift will be necessary.

Responsibilities:

·       Provide high level of internal and external customer service

·       Monitor vendor non-compliance on receiving, shipping and forward recommendations for improvement

·       Maintain all overages, shortages, damages and concealed damages

·       Communicate with drivers/dispatch on problem trailers

·       Ensure Policies and Procedures are being adhered to and enforced

·       Promote a clean and safe working environment by maintaining compliance with safety guidelines, reporting discrepancies and recommending corrective action to ensure safety in the warehouse

·       Support Company Health and Safety Policies and Procedures

·       Duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time

·       Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and skills:

·       High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

·       Ability to follow detailed instructions and be able to record progress/procedures/steps as completed.

·       Required to bend, operate/adjust equipment, stack pallets, and carry materials to equipment.

·       Lifting up to 50 pounds on a frequent basis and 80 pounds on an occasional basis.

·       Ability to work in a team environment and take ownership over area of responsibility.

·       Must have ability to understand and carry out instructions issued in written and verbal English.

·       Must have ability to complete required safety training.

·       Must have interpersonal skills to work in a positive manner in a team atmosphere.

·       Ability to stand for extended periods of time and move over, under, and around forklift, pallet jack, and racking equipment.

·       Ability to lift cases or pails of product and load them onto pallets.

·       Ability to follow detailed instructions and be able to record progress/procedures/steps as completed.
