Job Summary

We are seeking a Warehouse & Installation Coordinator to oversee warehouse operations and coordinate installation scheduling at our Smith & Purvis Carpet One location in Hammond, LA. This role is responsible for managing daily warehouse activities while also overseeing the scheduling and coordination of installation jobs with installers and customers. The ideal candidate will have general warehouse experience, a working knowledge of installation processes, and the ability to work closely with the Store Manager to resolve operational and customer-related issues.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Compensation: $22.00/hour – $26.00/hour, based on experience and qualifications.

 

Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, load-outs, transfers, claims processing, and inventory movement.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Ensure accurate inventory control and proper handling of materials.
  • Coordinate product availability for scheduled installation jobs.
  • Enforce safety procedures and company policies.

Installation Coordination

  • Schedule installation jobs with installers and customers.
  • Coordinate timelines, materials, and job readiness for installations.
  • Work closely with the Store Manager to resolve installation-related issues.
  • Serve as a point of contact for installers regarding schedules and job requirements.
  • Assist with customer communication related to installation timing and concerns.

Systems & Reporting

  • Utilize RFMS, Schedule Pro, inventory, order entry, and job costing systems.
  • Track installation schedules and warehouse readiness.
  • Support accurate job costing and documentation.

Requirements

  • General knowledge of warehouse operations and installation processes.
  • Experience coordinating schedules and working with installers or service teams.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and warehouse best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers, installers, and internal teams.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 70 lbs occasionally, as some products may need to be handled manually as part of daily warehouse operations.

Education and Experience

  • Prior warehouse experience required.
  • General knowledge of installation operations preferred.
  • Experience using RFMS or similar systems is a plus.
  • Forklift certification and OSHA knowledge preferred but not required.
