Warehouse Associates (Parts Handlers and Shipper Receivers)

We are currently seeking Parts Handlers and Shipper Receivers to join our team!
This role will train at our Edmonton West location before moving to the new branch. Roles at either location may become available
Successful applicants will meet FGI customer service standards and core values during each transaction and champion FGI's safety culture by performing all duties within established procedures and practices
Parts Handler:
What you will do:
- Accurately assemble customer orders from warehouse
- Verify parts orders to ensure they are correct before shipment
- Inspect stock items for wear or defects, report any damaged or missing stock to management.
- Restock warehouse shelves
- May assist customers looking for parts
- May secure cargo to vehicle (manual or forklift)
- Other duties as assigned
Shipper Receiver:
What you will do:
- Accurately receive incoming product and match quality of items received to shipping documents
- Prepare shipping documents for outbound products
- Package, label and ship customer orders verifying order accuracy prior to shipping
- Inspect stock items for wear or defects, report any damaged or missing stock to management.
- Replenish inventory items in designated warehouse storage bins
- May secure cargo to vehicle (manual or forklift
- Other duties as assigned
What We Require:
- MUST HAVE 1 year of general warehouse experience, order picking or shipping receiving experience
- MUST BE ABLE to meet the physical requirements: Occasionally lift up to 75 – 100lbs, frequent standing and walking, reading small print and numbers.
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
- Experience using an RF Scanner is an asset
- Valid class 5/G license with 5 years of Canadian driving experience an asset
- Demonstrated excellent customer service skills – dedicated to exceeding the expectations of internal and external customers.
- Strong written and verbal skills – ability to write and speak succinctly with customers and colleagues.
- Basic to proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (email, word, excel) and ability to learn in-house systems.
