Title: Volunteer Tiny Tumblers

Volunteer Commitment: 2 hours per week

Location: Community Y

The Volunteer Opportunity

This position is responsible for assisting in ensuring quality, safe, and inclusive program delivery during our Tiny Tumblers program. In this position you will assist in delivering programing that helps babies explore new equipment as well as providing a safe and inclusive environment for babies and caregivers to bond. 

Responsibilities

  • Program delivery: Responsible for assisting in the delivery of the Tiny Tumblers  program and provide a safe, inclusive, positive environment. Program facilitation is in keeping with established outcomes/objectives, in addition to YMCA quality and child safeguarding standards, and provincial regulations. 
  • Program delivery Includes: program set-up/take down, preparation of materials and active supervision during program duration. 
  • Forming positive relationships with families within the program through interaction and connection. 
  • Ensure the safety of participants in the program by following proper child safeguarding procedures.
