Social Enterprise for Canada (SEC) is a not-for-profit Ontario corporation with charitable status serving York Region, Simcoe and surrounding areas. SEC maintains its head office in Newmarket and provides public service signature expertise for immigrants, newcomers, early learning and development, Family Justice Service, Career and Labour market integration through programs such as Accreditation & Qualification Information Services, Supervised Access, Welcome Centre for Immigrant Services-Newmarket, EarlyOn Child & Family Centres and several Before & After School and Licensed Childcare Programs.

We believe in the strengths and capacities of people who interact with the various services we provide. Our calling is to come alongside people in their journey, providing our know-how and resources to support the achievement of client and customer goals. SEC holds a single share of Social Enterprise Canada Inc., a Canadian for-profit corporation that currently operates Bridge Translations and Bridge Solutions.

We’re looking volunteer board members to support SEC’s growth and impact serving our communities.

We need your expertise in:

·         Finance                   

·         Marketing & Communication

·         Legal

·         Business Development

·         Entrepreneurship, and

·         EDI

 

Previous experience with a non-profit and/or immigrant services agency is an asset.
