We are seeking a Full-Time Vent Nurse
Brief Job Summary for Vent Nurse
The primary purpose of your job position is to be responsible and accountable for the administration of comprehensive respiratory care services and for appropriate documentation in the medical record of the therapy provided. The Vent Unit Nurse advises medical staff on appropriate types of therapeutic modalities. In addition, you will provide, the nursing and personal care required by residents of the facility on your ventilation unit, and to safeguard the health, safety and welfare of all residents of the facility. As Vent Unit Nurse, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Vent Unit Nurse is responsible for administering safe and competent respiratory care as ordered per physician, monitoring mechanical ventilation, administering medications, patient assessment, monitoring, teaching, and training.
Qualifications

Current RN or LPN unencumbered state licensure.

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Must be knowledgeable of nursing & medical practices & procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.

Current CPR Certification is required

Experience in Long Term Care or Nursing Home setting
