Valve Assembly Technician

The ideal candidate will have the ability to install, assemble, and repair valves and gauges to comply with customer orders. In addition to assembly duties, this person will also have responsibility for maintaining the production area. A clean driving record is required. Responsibilities for the Valve Assembly Technician
1. Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.
2. Assembles valves to customized requests from customers while working with sales team to execute an efficient and accurate order.
3. Adjust, repair, or replace component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
4. Position, align or adjust workpieces or parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.
5. Be able to explain and interpret assembly procedures or techniques to co-workers as needed.
6. Record maintenance information, including test results, material usage and repairs made.
7. Disassemble and repair mechanical control devices or values.
8. Lubricate parts as assembling to prevent wearing surfaces of mechanical parts.
9. Calibrate instrumentation, such as meters, gauges and regulators for pressure, temperature, flow, and level as requested or needed.
10. Inspect, operate and test completed products to verify functioning, machine capabilities or conformance to customer specifications.
Requirements for the Valve Assembly Technician
- Must be mechanically and technically inclined.
- Must be willing and able to stand, walk, bend, and move for long periods of time.
- Prefer 3 years' experience in troubleshooting and equipment repairs including electrical, flow, level, pressure, temperature and all facets of analytical instrumentation and applications.
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Associate degree in technical field or equivalent work experience preferred.
