VALET ATTENDANT
MISSION:
Provide
professional, courteous and compassionate guest services for members and guests
while meeting club standards. Assist Managers in overseeing and coordinating
all activities related to the Valet operation. Proactively approach, greet and
acknowledge all customers in a friendly, professional manner and provide quick,
responsive customer service. Responsible for all other duties assigned.
Shift: Varies
Pay Rate: $14/hour - Valet Attendant who provide extraordinary
customer service are known to increase their earning potential with tips.
Primary Duties:
· - Ensure each guest receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment, which includes greeting, opening vehicle doors and building entry doors
· - Greet all guests; inquire about destination; give directions
· - Coordinate traffic flow in valet lanes and porte-cochere
· -Maintain the front driveway congestion-free through traffic control
· - Inform guest of valet and self-park options, relevant services, hours of operation, and after-hours key retrieval.
· -Assist employee and vendor drop-off and pick-up of the proper area for loading/unloading and direct deliveries to appropriate area.
· -Periodically check work area for glassware, trash, and debris in order to keep a clean, organized facility for members and guests
· - Organize “next car parked” and distribute keys to valet team.
· -Authorize valet breaks and communicate shift change needs
· - Predict and communicate traffic flow peaks and lot issues
· -Identify and arrange for extra support for extended wait times.
· -Accurately tally and split the tip pool
· -During peak times, operate, park and retrieve all vehicles in a safe manner by obeying all traffic laws, Facility policies, and applicable pedestrian regulations.
· -Assist each guest with car doors, wheelchairs/strollers and belongings.
· -Periodically check work area for glassware, trash, and debris in order to keep a clean, organized facility for members and guests
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
· -Able to act independently and make accurate decisions with exceptional focus on attention to detail.
· -Ability to control flows of traffic and valet lanes.
· -High degree of attention required preventing injury to others and damage when operating vehicles to and from location.
· -Ability to demonstrate exceptional service and interpersonal skills that are interpreted as positive and customer service oriented.
· -Understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and employee inquiries.
· -Must maintain confidentiality of visitors, staff and guests.
· -Ability to operate equipment in assigned area.
· -Ability to calculate and balance numbers rapidly and accurately.
· -Ability to analyze and solve problems.
Qualifications:
· -Ability to communicate valet information and policies in a manner easily understood by members and guests.
· -Ability to support and maintain expectations within policy and procedure guidelines.
· -Ability to act independently and make accurate decisions.
· -Effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
· -Ability to work in an environment that is not necessarily protected from weather and temperature changes with exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid or windy weather conditions for long periods of time.
· -Must be able to lift, push, pull objects up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodation, and exhibit full range of motion including standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing and crouching.
· -Ability to stand continuously and perform job functions for a full shift.
· -Read, write and communicate using English language sufficient to perform job functions.
· -Ability to operate a standard and automatic
transmission, if required.
