VAD Artist - contract

Versatile Media is a Virtual Production company with its North American facilities located in Vancouver, Canada. We are seeking VAD artists for immediate one-month contracts, with the possibility of extension based on project scope. Remote work is ok if based in BC.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creating photorealistic assets in Unreal Engine which includes lighting, modeling/texturing, and FX; creating materials and Blueprints.

• Building digital set locations with both photorealistic and stylised art direction

• Create and optimize assets and environments for virtual production projects.

• Work within the current set pipeline and help identify efficiency in workflow in and out of Engine.

• Conducting regularly scheduled rounds, overseeing and supporting VAD on your team.

• Collaborating with the other Departments, Leads, and Supervisors while mentoring and sharing knowledge with other team members

• Researching references that may be required for building of assets.

• Representing the VAD team at meetings, monthlies, etc.

IDEAL REQUIREMENTS

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience creating real time assets for film, television or game projects.

• Demonstrated expertise in one or more CG techniques including lighting, look development, modeling/texturing, matte painting, etc

• Proficiency in Unreal Engine.

• Ability to collaborate with other team members, solve problems and remain focused.

• English language proficiency with strong communication skills.
