Full Time Ultrasound Technologist position's are available in a multi-location capacity covering Annapolis, Glen Burnie, Easton, and Towson 

Hours: Monday-Friday 

General Responsibilities

  • Operates ultrasound equipment to obtain quality ultrasonic images.
  • Positions patient and adjusts ultrasound equipment to the correct setting for each examination.
  • Performs and records ultrasound diagnostic tests of all parts of the anatomy.
  • Ensures the ultrasound exam is of acceptable diagnostic quality and records preliminary findings to assist in physician’s interpretations.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Competently operates ultrasound equipment to generate appropriate anatomic detail supporting a diagnostic exam.
  • Effectively determines necessary probe arrangement to demonstrate anatomy or anatomic variations and measurements.
  • Effectively enlists patient assistance to vary their position in order to complete the exam.
  • Has working knowledge of anatomy and physiology as demonstrated in resulting images.
  • Thoroughly understands views and settings necessary to acquire a diagnostic exam.
  • Communicates findings of the exam to interpreting physician. Understands all requirements for completing a thorough exam supporting the sonographer’s preliminary findings.
  • Works with patients, physicians, and other staff members to accommodate needed exams in a timely manner.
  • Assists physicians during interventional exams by performing scans or preparing the sterile field.
  • Ensures that all equipment is kept clean and all precautions are taken to ensure that no cross-contamination occurs between patients.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Sonographers must have successfully graduated from an accredited Ultrasound School and be registered by the ARDMS.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Ultrasound experience. Siemens equipment is preferred.
  • General OB + Vascular proficiencies required
