SUMMARY Tubing Hill Supervisor reports to the Director of Mountain Operations and is responsible daily operations, strategic decision making, team supervision, guest experience and safety on the Tubing Hill.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Provide shift supervision, operational directives and training opportunities for the Tubing Hill Team to ensure the optimum hospitality experience for guests and compliance with resort policies/procedures.
- Act as a working leader to check guest passes, provide safety instructions, load guests onto lifts/into snow tubes, ensure lift/magic carpet operation, monitor/control traffic on tubing hill, prevent collisions, maintain safe snow levels and rotate hill positions.
- Review historical data to schedule staff appropriately for seasonal departments while considering multiple variables, such as: operating hours, guest reservations, special events, holidays and weather.
- Communicate daily with staff to provide/obtain information and conduct routine inspections of department.
- Motivate team to achieve operational excellence in a synergistic environment that consistently delivers results.
- Work with supervisors and team members to evolve training, implement tactics and monitor quality for professional development and guest satisfaction.
- ‘Point of Contact’ to address guest requests and concerns immediately and always with a professional attitude.
- Maintain knowledge of industry and resort safety regulations and emergency procedures. Support team/guest by ensuring compliance and providing routine training. Facilitate a culture of safety and accountability relative to job performance and guest use of Resort.
- Complete the Pre/Post Season Check Lists to ensure Tubing Hill is ready for operation/inspection in compliance with resort standards and New York State Regulations for Amusement Attractions.
- Work with the Mountain Operations Director to manage assigned costs and labor expenses within budget to deliver an efficient and profitable operation.
- Partner with Human Resources on the hiring process, including review of applications, attending job fairs, conducting interviews and completing corresponding paperwork.
- Support administrative functions of position, including scheduling and weekly time approval / payroll processing.
- Act as a Resort Ambassador by demonstrating resort knowledge, including: location of amenities, hours of operation, information on special events / activities, pricing and merchandise.
- All other duties assigned.

- Possess organizational skills necessary to prioritize, identify problems/implement solutions and work independently with a focus on efficient performance and safety.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective operating/control processes to attain maximum efficiency while ensuring adherence to established guest service criteria.
- Superior communication skills to direct diverse groups of associates at all levels, articulate instructions/safety regulations and ensure compliance.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office and ability to apply training for functional use of internal systems, such as Ceridian.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High School or GED equivalent required.
- Minimum 1-year prior supervisory experience in a Ski Resort or related hospitality environment preferred; strong preference given to candidates who meet supervisory requirement and have prior experience as a Tubing Hill Attendant.

- Constant maneuvering/positioning oneself on terrain features in various conditions, use of hands/fingers/arms to reach for and manipulate equipment and walking/standing for duration of shift.
- Daily exposure to cold or freezing temperatures and other winter weather conditions for extended periods of time, such as: sun, rain, snow, sleet, hail and/or high winds.
- Works on uneven and/or slippery surfaces and is periodically exposed to hazardous conditions/situations.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays required and willingness to flex up work hours (based on business need).

Pay: $15.50 - $17.50 per hour
