 Emterra Group is looking to hire a dynamic Plant Supervisor for our Winnipeg facility. This individual will provide leadership support to our plant operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality processing of recyclable materials in line with the Plant Manager's directives. This role involves organizing plant resources, including labor, equipment, processes, recyclable materials, and technology, on a daily basis.

What will you do?

·       Supervise, coordinate, and schedule plant staff, including general laborers and machine operators.

·       Ensure plant production meets productivity goals, financial targets, and buyer specifications under the Plant Manager's guidance.

·       Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule preventative maintenance and minimize downtime.

·       Collaborate with scale and shipping personnel to manage material flow.

·       Maintain clear communication with other shift supervisors/lead hands.

·       Uphold good housekeeping standards and promote a safe, organized facility.

·       Prepare production and other relevant reports.

·       Train floor and sorting personnel on operations, quality standards, and safety protocols.

·       Provide recommendations for production and product quality improvements.

·       Operate and maintain equipment as needed or undergo training for the same.

·       Ensure the health and safety of all supervised workers by addressing hazards, providing adequate training and PPE, and adhering to safety policies and regulations.

What will you bring:

·       Ability and willingness to work shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

·       2-3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or processing environment.

·       Preferably, experience in the waste management and recycling industry.

·       Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

·       Experience or certification in operating mobile equipment such as forklifts and loaders.

·       Proficient communication skills in English.

·       University/College degree or operation training/certification is an asset.
