Treatment Nurse RN or LPN
Riverside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, LLC is seeking an LPN or RN Treatment Nurse to join our team of nurses providing loving care to their nursing home residents.
General Description:
The Treatment Nurse is responsible for the skin and wound care of residents with an emphasis on prevention and treatment of skin disorders. The RN or LPN Treatment Nurse follows the established nursing Care Plan and makes appropriate adjustments as resident care needs and/or physician orders change. Assists with the duties of the staff LPN or Certified Nursing Assistant when needed.

Essential Duties
1. Identifies, plans, implements, and evaluates skin care in residents.
2. Identifies, manages, and treats specific skin disorders.
3. Performs evaluation using observation and inspection techniques.
4. Confers with the Care Planning Team in the development of the Care Plan.
Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions and treatment plans
- Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Adhere to nursing standards and protocols
Skills:
- Proficient in hospice palliative medicine and providing end-of-life care
- Knowledge of occupational health practices and regulations
- Experience working with children in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with esthetic laser treatment procedures
- Ability to accurately measure and interpret vital signs
- Experience in an intensive care unit (ICU) setting
- Understanding of infection control standards and protocols
- Competency in catheterization procedures
- Knowledge of ambulatory surgery center operations and protocols
- Familiarity with CT scans and their interpretation
Experience: Previous work experience in a long-term care setting preferred as an LPN or Registered Nurse
Qualifications: Education/Training: Graduate of an approved school of nursing; current nursing license to practice as a licensed practical nurse in the state. Experience in skin care preferred. Must have current CPR certification.be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, and transfer and transport residents. Must be able to carry and transport supplies. Must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical health examination as a condition of employment. Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation(s).
