Traveling Solar QAQC Manager
Clearview Solar is looking for a Quality
Assurance/Quality Control Manager to travel between our sites to ensure that
they meet the established standards and jurisdiction requirements by coordinating
inspections, performing testing, and managing the QAQC department.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the QAQC department and coordinates all tasks within the department with projects team and direct reports.
- Coordinates, implements, and utilizes the company’s quality control programs and policies to ensure all policies are being followed.
- Coordinates and performs quality control activities.
- Coordinates with projects team and superintendents about quality control findings.
- Instructs direct reports and superintendents on results of these finding and collaborates to fix any quality control issues.
- Must be able to interpret schematics and other drawings, such as blueprints that detail solar specification.
- Assists in the installation of weather stations and conducts inspections to make sure they meet specifications.
- Performs and/or oversees the completing of punch lists.
- Assists with and oversees the commissioning department.
- Review past failed inspections and verify that the install meets or exceeds requirements.
- Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements.
- Ensure documentation is sent and stored properly upon the completion of any inspections.
- Be able to provide accurate and timely info about work site activities.

Work Environment:
- Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, and driving.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs while using proper lifting techniques, stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out and above shoulder, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull.
- Must endure regular exposure to all weather conditions, including hot, cold, humid, and rainy during all seasons throughout the year.
- May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels on sites of projects being managed or coordinated.
- Must wear proper Personal Protective Equipment as required by work tasks, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, steel toe/composite toe boots and high visible vest when working on-site.
Qualifications Required
- Highschool Diploma or GED.
- Extensive knowledge in NEC code
- Hold or be able to obtain OSHA 10-hour Certification and OSHA 30-hour Certification
- At least 8 years prior experience in any of the related electrical fields: Solar, Industrial, or Construction.
- Must be a licensed electrician
- Understanding of Solar install, ability to work with numerous departments to construct solar site per print spec
- Ability to travel up to 100% of the time.
- A high level of time management, accountability, and prioritization skills.
