Labourer/Traffic Control Person

Williams Lake, BC $16.91-$21.17/hour

Dawson Road Maintenance is looking for a Labourer/Traffic Control Person. Who will manage the ebb and flow of construction zones, ensuring safety for both workers and the traveling public during roadwork operations. When Traffic Control is not required, this individual will be responsible for Labourer type duties.

In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson Road Maintenance, working in a temporary, full-time position of Labourer/Traffic Control Person reporting to the Road Foreman. Base location will be Williams Lake B.C. and will require some travel through our great province.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Must Prioritize safety of self and others in all aspects of the job.

Stop, slow, and safely direct traffic through work or construction sites.

Perform labourer type duties such as rest area clean up, yard maintenance, and other ad hoc tasks.

Work as a swamper on trucks hauling heavy equipment, supplies, and materials.

Keep the flow of traffic moving with as few delays as possible.


WHAT YOU BRING

BCCSA Traffic Control Ticket.

Minimum class 5 Driver’s License with clean Driver’s Abstract

Experience in the field is an asset.

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
