Jonathan’s Place, is accepting applications for a full-time Treatment Services Therapist. The Therapist is responsible for providing therapeutic services, including skills training and counseling for the children/youth in foster homes and our residential programs. This includes collaboration and therapy with foster families, establishing treatment plans, monitoring progress, consulting with other team members and referring entities, conducting clinical training, and providing crisis intervention as needed.

Treatment Service Therapist is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, evenings and weekends (as needed) for agency and youth needs. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health coverage, 401k, and other ancillary benefits.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Establish treatment plans and monitor ongoing progress.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
  • Complete individual assessments, write reports and communicate with program staff, treatment team, cps, and other supports.
  • Identify and provide trauma-informed treatment modalities and interventions that address the needs of youth.
  • Facilitate training and education for staff and foster parents.
  • Provide crisis intervention

Required Education and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field
  • Licensed at the minimum as an LMSW or LPC-A
  • One year of experience working with trauma survivors and facilitating group training
  • Previous experience working with children and youth with behavioral and emotional issues.
  • Knowledge of child development, behavior management, and family systems
  • Knowledge and use of a conceptual framework for child and adolescent development, emotional and behavior problems, parenting, crisis intervention, and various treatment modalities.
  • Knowledge of various theories, principles, and concepts for therapeutic practice with individuals and families, including well-developed diagnostic, assessment, and treatment planning skills.
