We are excited to announce that Alamo Drafthouse is opening its Indianapolis location in late October 2024! We are hiring for the Front of House Supervisor position. Paid training and group orientation will take place the week of October 9th to prepare for the opening.


Job Description

The Front of House Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of servers, hosts, and hostesses to ensure exceptional guest service in our restaurant and theater environment. This role involves managing staff performance, maintaining service quality, and ensuring smooth coordination between the front and back of the house. The Front of House Supervisor plays a crucial role in upholding Alamo Drafthouse’s reputation for delivering an outstanding guest experience by fostering a positive work environment, handling guest concerns, and ensuring adherence to service standards.

Core Role Responsibilities:

• Oversee & assist in daily operations of the front of house team, including servers and hosts/hostesses

• Ensure a seamless guest experience from greeting to farewell, maintaining service excellence at all touchpoints

• Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and coach team members to maintain service standards

• Coordinate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage service

• Handle guest complaints or concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards

• Uphold company policies, procedures, and Core Values to create a positive guest and teammate experience

• Foster a team-oriented, supportive work culture and promote a high standard of service


Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in a supervisory role within a high-volume restaurant or theater environment

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally

• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Schedule flexibility (early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays)

• Experience with POS systems and front-of-house operations

• Passion for creating memorable guest experiences


Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Light lifting (up to 30 lbs)

• Ability to move efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to communicate effectively in a sometimes loud and busy environment
