The Integration Specialist / UAS Pilot
SUMMARY: : WinTec Arrowmaker, Inc. is a defense contractor dedicated to providing outstanding program management, engineering, logistics, and operations support to Department of Defense customers. The Integration Specialist / UAS Pilot will work under the direction of the Program Manager and will operate, pilot and maintain unmanned aircraft systems (UASs).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Operate UAS systems in support of customer experimentation utilizing typical C2 methods as well as familiarization with typical remote-control systems and operations.
- Providing technical guidance as well as preparing managerial reports and after-action reports following field experimentation.
- Repair and maintain structural, electronic control systems, and subassemblies of small military prototype and production, commercial off-the-shelf UAS platforms and systems.
- Perform balance and flight- check for approving UASs for return-to-service.
- Deliver UAS flight operations to include basic equipment operation, operational utilization, mission planning, image capture and transmission, GPS navigation, and air space management.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma and a minimum of five (5) years’ experience with remote control aircraft, commercial off the shelf sUAS, production military UAS, and current UAS fabrication processes.
- Possess or the ability to obtain an FAA Part 107 license.
- Experience with one or more of the following: military systems, computer systems, GPS, RF video transmission technology and techniques, aviation, airspace management, aerodynamics, map reading, remote controlled systems, electronics, and model aviation.
- Experience as a sUAS pilot with responsibility to lead, evaluate other pilots using sUAS specific training media, utilizing realistic scenarios is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage sUAS operator training folders, maintenance of flight logs and flight certification documentation is required.
- Knowledge of related mechanical assemblies to include actuators, servos, and electric motors.
- Knowledge of electronic R/C systems and subassemblies.
- Knowledge of composite materials like Kevlar, fiberglass, carbon fiber.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Demonstrated initiative, self-motivation, eagerness to learn, and attention-to-detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to provide training in classroom and field environments.
Additional requirements:
- The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Travel required up to 40%.
- Personnel may be required to travel OCONUS.
- Military background or familiarity with military command and control structures.
- Possess a working knowledge of the organizational interface of military, federal, state, and local agencies.
- Demonstrate time management, problem-solving skills, self-motivation, eagerness to learn, and attention to detail.
- Ability to efficiently react to shifting program requirements and work in a team environment.
- Effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.
SECURITY CLEARANCE: Must be able to obtain and maintain at a minimum, Secret security clearance.
