Position Summary

Working in professional Pest Management is so much more than controlling pest problems. It is also building customer relationships and educating them on how to reduce pest problems in their homes or businesses. You don't need any prior experience to work at RIGO PEST. We offer comprehensive training programs incorporating one-on-one mentorship and on-the-job learning to ensure you have all the knowledge necessary to perform the job well. When you are ready, you will be required to pass a state certification exam. At RIGO PEST, Termite Sales Inspectors will be expected to conduct thorough inspections in, around, on, and under structures and then present clear and concise correction strategies through detailed reports & graphs. There is a high expectation of making a very professional & favorable impression in front of potential & existing customers, as well as Real Estate Agents, Home Inspectors, and other Trades you encounter. Finally, you will be required to respond to customer needs through clear, prompt, and courteous communication. You must be able and willing to interact with the RIGO PEST office personnel and leadership to ensure top-quality customer service.

 

Requirements

·       A high school diploma or G.E.D. 

·       Active Driver’s License & Clean DMV driving record

·       Able to pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screen and Background Check

·       A stable work history

·       Great written and spoken communication skills

·       Ability to bend, crawl, climb ladders, and carry a 4-gallon backpack sprayer

·       Knowledge and experience with construction materials, techniques, and elements helpful

Primary Responsibilities

·       Perform termite inspections on residential and commercial properties

·       Generate reports that are accurate and meet all Arizona State WDIIR reporting requirements

·       Create treatment proposals with accurate estimates of job scope and cost

·       Communicate solutions and expectations to customers.

·       Schedule appointments and follow-up on consumer needs as they arise.

·       Inspect the property to ascertain wall and roof porosity and possible sites of pest invasion.

·       Identify invading pests, including termites, rodents, and general crawling insects.

·       Be the face of the company when interacting with customers and real estate agents.

·       Coordinate efficiently and effectively with the Termite Inspection and Treatment Scheduler

·       Build positive relationships with customers

Customer Relations

Inspectors represent RIGO PEST when working at a customer’s home or business. You must be polite, professional, and friendly. Customers are sometimes distressed by their pest problems or upset because a prior treatment failed to eliminate the pest. Inspectors must be courteous, tactful, and clear when communicating their inspection findings and summarizing solutions to the pest concerns they may have observed. 

Teamwork

Inspectors work as a team, treating each other with respect and putting the team's needs over their own. Inspectors need to be flexible and anticipate their schedules could be interrupted if management determines help is needed elsewhere. Friendly, respectful communication between team members must ensure effective teamwork.  

Attention to Detail

Inspectors must pay careful attention to details. Some infestations leave only slight signs that can be observed without extensive intrusion. Chemicals and products need to be handled and applied with care. Inspectors must submit their Reports and estimates within 24 hours of their inspection. All reports and estimates MUST be error-free to meet State Compliance and make the most professional impression possible.

Physical Abilities

Inspectors are physically active for much of their workday, frequently walking, climbing, kneeling, stooping, and crawling. Work may be performed in unstable terrain and on rooftops, requiring both physical strength and stamina.

Reasoning Skills

To complete a job successfully, the Inspector must first identify the type of pest, conditions conducive to pest activity, and the best method to eliminate it. Physical evidence is sometimes hard to detect. Inspectors must apply logic based on clues to decide which pest is present. If multiple treatment options exist, he must determine the best method for the particular circumstances. Inspectors must also evaluate potential costs and damages weighed against possible benefits.

Driving Skills

Typically, Inspectors must drive from customer to customer in a truck bearing special equipment and chemicals. Inspectors must maintain a clean driving record and practice safe driving skills to protect themselves and those around them.
