Payworks develops proprietary, integrated SaaS-based products in the payroll, human resources and time and attendance space. We create, deploy and maintain our own solutions; this requires a talented team of Quality Assurance (QA) Analysts who will ensure we deliver quality products and solutions to our end users by analyzing software requirements and executing software testing. Using destructive creativity, the ultimate goal of the QA Analyst is to “break things” throughout the entire development process, allowing the team to address the issues before releasing to end users.

COLLABORATE & INNOVATE – IT’S WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Summon your destructive nature – We build great products that delight our customers! Review requirements, identify risks, create and execute tests in an effort to identify issues before products are in production. You will perform test of all kinds, log defects and create quality tickets in JIRA to ensure stories meet the defined acceptance criteria and follow through on product defects from failure to resolution.
  • Work as part of an awesome team – Support, collaborate, cooperate and create with cross-functional teams to implement quality products for our end users. To ensure we release high quality software, you will collaborate with some talented folks, including Business Analysts, Product Designers, Developers and Technical Leads, on Agile-based product development teams. We feel that exceptional and innovative development comes naturally to teams that are having fun and working together.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Experience with the Payworks application and/or approximately 5+ years of software QA experience, with a strong understanding of software testing principles and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Canadian payroll and the human capital management space would be considered an asset.
  • ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with requirements gathering, analysis, test planning and text execution.
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, draw insights, and see related opportunities.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with test automation as well as cloud-based and responsive design solutions.
  • Proficiency in APIs (Postman, Swagger), SQL, Selenium, HTML, C3, JavaScript, XML and CSS3.
  • Knowledge of industry trends, best practices and change management (plus a drive to stay on top of updates!).
