Customer Service Representative
Employee-owned premier countertop company is looking for a full-time Customer Service Representative in our Syracuse office.
Job Summary:
This position performs audits on all templated jobs the day after each template has occurred and ensures all information is accurate before any job goes into production.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)
- Provide excellent customer service by utilizing in depth knowledge of company products, services and/or product specifications
- Audit all template jobs within required timeframe and make adjustments as necessary
- Re-quote jobs that have changes after the template and communicate that to the customer
- Use AutoCAD to check measurements
Accountabilities:
Contribute to the overall success of the company by performing all assigned duties in a professional, timely and accurate manner. Follow all company safety policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook.
Minimum Qualification Standards:
· High school diploma or GED required
· Previous office experience required
· Previous experience in construction or design required.
· Previous experience in customer service, data entry, and/or quoting/sales strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Basic computer skills including word processing and e-mail communication
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously.
· Some analytical ability to gather and summarize data, find solutions to various administrative problems, and prioritize work.
· Strong written and oral communication skills to interact with customers, vendors and co-workers in a professional and helpful manner in person or via phone or written correspondence.
Equipment, Machines and Software Used:
This position requires the regular use of a computer, printer, copier, fax machine, telephone, scanner, calculator.
Computer Software: Microsoft Word, AutoCAD, Moraware Job Tracker
Safety Equipment: None required for this position
Physical and Mental Requirements:
· Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel, push, pull, reach and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists.
· Close mental and visual attention required to perform work dealing primarily with preparing and analyzing data and figures, using a computer terminal, and reading.
Physical Exertion:
Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that may be encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.
There is no exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Work is performed in a typical office work environment.
