Job Title: Team Leader - Residential Installations

Position Overview: Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Team Leader will oversee residential installations while fulfilling all duties expected of a Team Leader. Close collaboration with the Operations Manager is essential to meet and exceed position expectations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Team Leader Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality assurance and site inspections, including a minimum of 2 quality assurance inspections and 1 site inspection per month per technician.
  • Monitor individual technician productivity, providing monthly and quarterly coaching sessions and implementing Performance Management plans if necessary.
  • Provide feedback, set performance goals, and document all coaching sessions.
  • Conduct staff and safety meetings as required.
  • Ensure stability of local stock inventory and vehicle inspections/maintenance.
  • Serve as the second line of support for escalations and technical issues.
  • Eligible for Bonus Program Incentive.

Technician Work:

  • Install interior and exterior coax outlets and lines, cable, telephone, and high-speed internet equipment.
  • Perform upgrades, disconnects, and troubleshooting of cable, internet, and telephone products.
  • Drive to and from scheduled appointments, responsible for assigned vehicle and tools.
  • Maintain stock requirements in the vehicle for all job situations.
  • Follow Safe Job Procedures and ensure completion of weekly vehicle inspections.

Reporting Relationships:

  • Report to Area Regional Manager; Area Technicians report directly to the Team Leader.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Some Post-Secondary Education preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Ladder usage (up to 32 feet), outdoor/indoor work.
  • Heavy lifting over 60+ lbs, uneven ground.
