Tax Internship- Boone, NC
During our busiest season, estimated to be from late January through April 15th, tax season interns assist with the increased tax work from clients. Duties and responsibilities of a tax season intern will include but not limited to the following tasks:
· Scans tax documents
· Reviews and validates scanned documents
· Prepares basic tax returns
· Imports data from client’s files to our workpaper files
· Learns to use accounting and tax software
· Provides assistance to Partners and Staff
· Develop an understanding of internal CPA practices
· Develop an understanding of teamwork within a work environment
Position Requirements
· Students in their Junior or Senior years, with at least one section of Intermediate accounting already successfully passed
· GPA of 3.0 and higher
· Availability of 15-20 hours per week during spring semester, is preferred
· Interns should be able to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines, multi-task, and possess critical thinking skills
· Interns should be aspiring to obtain CPA certification
· Interns should have a willingness and desire to learn more about public accounting
