Talent Acquisition Specialist

IMC is currently hiring a Talent Acquisition Specialist, who is responsible for sourcing, attracting and interviewing qualitied candidates to meet the staffing and recruiting objectives of Iberia Medical Center. Will also become the face of the recruiting function for IMC by attending recruiting events, networking functions and collaborating with local partners.
EDUCATION
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field required.
EXPERIENCE
- At least 3 years of experience in talent acquisition, preferably in healthcare
CERTIFICATIONS
- SHRM-CP and/or PHR preferred, but not required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Proficiency in using computers, software and web-based applications, including but not limited to Microsoft office suite
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, social medial platforms.
- Proficiency in interviewing and evaluation of candidates.
- Ability to effectively communicate with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels throughout the organization.
- Thorough understanding of local, state and federal laws involving employment, HR and benefits.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to perform most essential job duties independently and exercise good judgment.
- Must be a self-starter.
- Flexible, detail-oriented, and multi-task effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria.
- Sources applicants through online platforms.
- Researches, organizes and attends job fairs and recruitment events to build strong candidate pipeline and increase brand recognition.
- Sets up recruiting events with local schools allowing students to meet IMC managers for increased presence.
- Builds relationships with trade schools, universities, medical schools, etc to create partnerships for long term success in placement of graduates at IMC.
- Develops talent pipelines for future hiring needs, including physicians.
- Coaches managers on recruiting and interviewing best practices.
- Builds attractive job posts and monitors candidate activity to identify additional hard-to-fill recruiting needs.
- Manages applicant tracking system to ensure optimal functionality and improvements.
- Assist HR leadership with special projects, as needed by departmental goals.
- Supports and implements the organization’s vision, mission and values.
- Complies with organizational policies and procedures.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
