Position Summary

Truly Pizza is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Takeout Cashier to join our team. This position plays a key role in creating a seamless guest experience by managing takeout orders from start to finish. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and works efficiently with both front-of-house and kitchen teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly in person and over the phone

• Accurately enter and process orders through our POS system (Toast)

• Manage and schedule takeout orders throughout the day to ensure timely fulfillment

• Coordinate and plan larger or future-dated orders

• Monitor and manage online ordering platforms, including DoorDash

• Communicate clearly and consistently with the kitchen and front-of-house team regarding order timing and modifications

• Confirm order accuracy before guests or delivery drivers depart

• Handle cash and credit card transactions responsibly

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the takeout and cashier station

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Ability to remain calm and efficient during high-volume service

• Basic computer proficiency and comfort learning POS systems (Toast experience preferred)

• Previous restaurant or cashier experience preferred, but not required

• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
