Table Games Dealer
The Position
The successful candidate demonstrates exceptional mathematical and analytical skills, thrives in fast-paced environment, and possesses a strong working knowledge table games.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests to the table and deal cards as per AGLC Terms and Conditions.
- Respond to guest issues and escalate as required.
- Monitor chips and cash and ensure the integrity of the game.
- Observe problematic guest behaviors and report to the Supervisor as required.
- Be a great team player and exemplify outstanding guest service, to both internal as well as external guests.
- Develop and cultivate strong working relationships with guests, ownership, employees, the AGLC and the community and charitable organizations.
- Ensure compliance with AGLC policies.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
- Promote and maintain the highest levels of integrity and customer service.
- Ensure outstanding guest service by responding promptly to guest needs and requests for service.
- Every team member will follow and support the Core Values, of the ownership company.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Preferably minimum of high school education or suitable combination of education and experience.
- Minimum six (6) months of dealing experience.
- AGLC Registration
- Experience dealing with VIP or “high stakes” guests is considered an asset.
- Strong work ethic with ability to maintain professionalism and a high level of confidentiality.
- Knowledge of gaming controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to speak English is mandatory. Ability to fluently speak additional languages is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, organized, with strong problem solving skills.
- Strong competency in MS Office including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including graveyards, weekends, and holidays. The hours of work will be based on guest and business needs.
- AML Certification, Deal us in Phase 1 & 2, and ProServe certification with AGLC.
- Knowledge of Alberta Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines.
- Knowledge and ability to clearly explain operating house rules to guests and employees.
- Professional demeanor and ability to approach situations in a tactful manner.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and treat others with respect regardless of their status or position.
- A passion for providing excellent
service and full alignment with the organization’s vision.
- Strong willingness to learn about guest needs and wants.
Working Conditions:
Regular casino environment with non-traditional work hours. Essential duties involve working with large numbers of people in an indoor environment. This position requires physical exertion including:
