SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Oversees all aspects of the Surveillance Department. Ensures compliance with all gaming regulations and company policies. Serve as a liaison between property and gaming commission. Supervise and direct activities of surveillance staff engaged in observing gaming and non-gaming activity throughout the property.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

• Ensure regulatory and internal control requirements are met.

• Immediately respond to suspicious, unusual activities that violate gaming regulations.

• Responsible for hiring, training, firing, and disciplinary counseling of department staff.

• Conducts training and testing of all gaming areas, regulations, internal controls and policies and procedures.

• Ensure confidentiality is maintained in the department.

• Cooperate and assist with departmental and law enforcement agency investigations.

• Other related projects and/or duties as assigned by management.

• The detection of the presence of any person who may or is required to be excluded or ejected from the licensed facility under section 1514 or 1515 of the act (relating to regulation requiring exclusion of certain persons; repeat offenders excludable from licensed gaming facility) and Chapters 511a and 513a (relating to persons required to be excluded; and underage gaming), or is self-excluded from the gaming floor and gaming activities at all licensed facilities under section 1516 of the act (relating to list of persons self-excluded from gaming activities) and Chapter 503a (relating to self-exclusion).

 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.

• At least five (5) years surveillance experience and previous supervisory experienced preferred.

• Possess a thorough knowledge of all table games rules, procedures, and gaming regulations.

• Working knowledge of surveillance software and Microsoft Office programs such as excel and word.

• Knowledge of surveillance equipment such as handheld radios, video recorders and rewind devices.

• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
