The position requires excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, along with the ability to support the VIP operations and guest experience at PSSC. This is a full-time position required to work at the property. This position requires non-traditional working hours which includes working nights and weekends and holidays.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team within Surf Relations/ Admissions. In this role, you will be responsible for providing efficient and accurate ticketing services to our customers. This role requires excellent communication skills, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Your primary objective will be to assist customers in purchasing tickets, answering inquiries, and ensuring a smooth and seamless ticketing process. The initial surf check-in/admissions process plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall customer experience and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ticket Sales and Service:

  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, assisting them with their ticketing needs.

  • Sell tickets for various events, or attractions, ensuring accurate pricing and availability.

  • Provide information on different ticket options, seating arrangements, cabanas and any applicable discounts or promotions.

  • Process ticket sales using the designated ticketing system, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions and record-keeping.

  • Assist customers with inquiries, concerns, or issues related to ticket purchases, resolving problems promptly and courteously.

  • Coordinate with other departments, such as customer service or event management, to address customer needs effectively.

  1. Ticket Inventory Management:

  • Monitor wristband inventory levels, ensuring an adequate supply of tickets & wristbands are available for sale.

  • Reconcile ticket sales and maintain accurate records of transactions, refunds, and exchanges.

  • Coordinate with relevant departments to manage the distribution and retrieval of tickets for events.

  • Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile ticket sales and ensure proper accounting procedures are followed.

  1. Customer Assistance and Information:

  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns in a knowledgeable and professional manner.

  • Assist customers with selecting the most suitable tickets based on their preferences and requirements.

  • Provide information on event schedules, seating plans, venue facilities, amenities, and any additional services available.

  • Offer guidance and support to customers who require assistance with using self-service kiosks or online ticketing platforms.

  1. Cash Handling and Reporting:

  • Handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment securely and accurately, following established cash handling procedures.

  • Reconcile cash register at the beginning and end of each shift, reporting any discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor.

  • Generate and maintain reports on ticket sales, revenue, and customer trends, providing insights to management as required.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in customer service or a related field is advantageous.

    • Previous experience in a customer service or ticketing role is preferred.

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.

    • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.

    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions and maintaining records.

    • Proficiency in using computerized ticketing systems or point-of-sale software.

    • Basic math skills and the ability to handle cash and perform calculations quickly and accurately.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

    • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

      Physical Demands & Work Environment:

      • Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.

      • Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.

      • Continuous repetitive motions.

      • Work in cold, dry, hot, humid, and noisy environments.
