Summer Microbiology Laboratory Technician - Waretown, NJ
SUMMARY: Garden State Laboratories, Inc. is seeking seasonal part-time microbiology laboratory technicians to work on weekends and some Fridays this summer season, from late May until Labor Day. Lab technicians will report to the Microbiology Supervisor in our Jersey Shore Lab located in Waretown, NJ. The shift is generally from 10am to 6pm, however the ending time can vary slightly depending on when the scheduled work has been completed.
Daily tasks of the Microbiology Laboratory Technician include:
- Preparing Media
- Recording Temperatures
- Receiving Samples
- Logging sample data into our LIMS system
- Analyzing Samples
- Reading and recording sample results
- Laboratory maintenance (washing dishes, discarding samples, general housekeeping, and other tasks as needed)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience:
- Previous laboratory experience is not required.
- A background in science is preferred, but not required.
- The necessary training to perform this job will be provided to the right candidate.
