Summer Labourer

Dawson Road Maintenance is looking for Summer Labourers who will be vital members of our team, responsible for assisting with a variety of outdoor tasks during the warmer months. This role requires a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to work in various weather conditions. As a Summer Labourer, you will have the opportunity to learn new skills, work in a dynamic environment, and contribute to the completion of important projects!

In this role you will be a valued member of Dawson Road Maintenance, working as a Temporary, Full-Time Labourer, reporting to, Road Foreman.  To be considered for this role, you should have a good knowledge of safety around equipment, an eagerness to learn, and a strong work ethic.  If you are looking to join a growing organization to build your career with, apply today.  Your base location will be Carnaby, BC, this position will require travel throughout our greater province.

• Must Prioritize safety of self and others in all aspects of the job.

• Protect workers in the construction zone by flagging and regulating traffic flow safely through construction sites.

• Perform labourer type duties such as rest area clean up, yard maintenance, and other ad hoc tasks.

• Work as a swamper on trucks hauling heavy equipment, supplies, and materials.

• Perform all necessary work while complying with all company policies and procedures.

• Flagging and First aid ticket is an asset

• Ability to lift 50 pounds

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Willingness to travel out of town and work various shifts

• Valid drivers license with clean abstract

• Be versatile and work as directed daily
