Job Description

The Store Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of the store. In other for a Store Manager to be successful, the store manager needs to constantly work on the store floors, the store manager needs to assure that the staff is providing great customer service by greeting and assisting all customers they encounter. The Store manager needs to make sure He/She monitors each and every department for productivity and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Store Manager is responsible for the Store. Store manager is required to work 55 to 60 hours a week
  • Managing budgets, the store manager needs to collaborate with the corporate office to maintain the budget of the store. The corporate office will provide the store manager with a budget, He/ She needs to comply with it.
  • Oversees the Inventory levels by making sure the orders are being done correctly and in a timely manner. The store manager also keeps control of the backroom. The inventory level in the backroom need to be kept to the minimum
  • Drives sales by maintaining accurate pricing, preparing promotional materials and displays, rotating merchandise.
  • Provides great customer service by making sure the store is in stock, clean, and the store is fully staffed accordingly to the customers’ flow. Resolve customer concerns by listening to their needs.
  • Recruits, trains, supervise and appraise staff members. It is the Store manager’s responsibility to make sure they train all their staff members including assistant managers. Employees are required to full fill all duties and responsibilities describe in their job descriptions and responsibilities.
  • Oversees the pricing coordinator, making sure that all pricing batches are applied and labels are changed to the new label. The store manager needs to make sure that if the price coordinator is not at the store for any reason the Store Manager is responsible to apply batches and change labels
  • Maintains all transfers, damages, and claims, and credits date up to date. This data needs to be collected daily and input into the companies approved data base to record inventory movement and shrink
  • Ensures that all staff members are complying with the employee manual, Health, and safety legislation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must have basic math skills to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, gross margins, markups, percentages, and volume.
  • Retail management experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computers required
  • Bilingual (Spanish & English)
