We are seeking a great communicator with excellent interpersonal skills for the role of STEM teacher. The

STEM teacher will be responsible for developing learning activities and hands-on material, tending to

individual student needs, and communicating regularly with parents.

To ensure success as a STEM teacher, candidates should have a strong quantitative background,

demonstrate empathy, and have good written and verbal communication skills. Ultimately, a top-notch

STEM teacher will have excellent classroom management abilities and engage students with the subject

matter.

STEM Teacher Responsibilities:

  •  Developing STEM curricula that contributes to a climate where students are actively engaged in

meaningful learning experiences.

  •  Delivering STEM instruction through project-based learning methods and guiding students to work

collaboratively to solve real-world problems.

  • ? Adopting a data-driven attitude towards measuring learner progress and maintaining efficient record

keeping procedures

  • Formulating STEM learning activities and hands-on material for classes that align with NGSS and support

the K-4th general education curriculum.

  • Attending to individual student needs.
  •  Understanding how to appropriately guide students through technological tasks, such as but not limited to,
  • 3D printing, basic robotics, coding, and circuits.
  •  Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
  •  Communicating regularly with parents.
  •  Monitoring student growth to identify strengths and areas for improvement.
  •  Providing regular feedback to students.

STEM Teacher Requirements

  •  State teaching license in the relevant field.
  • Knowledge of STEM best practices and familiarity with NGSS and K-4th curriculum
  •  Empathy and great interpersonal skills.
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication.
  •  Proficiency with basic computer software such as Word and Excel.
  •  Previous experience as a STEM teacher will be advantageous.
  •  Good classroom management skills
