Staffing Coordinator/Central Supply Job Posting

Introduction:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced clinical staffing coordinator to join our team. The staffing coordinator will be responsible for ensuring adequate and appropriate staffing of the facility nursing department to meet the needs of the residents and comply with state and federal staffing regulations. Must be organized, reliable, and detail oriented.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain a current and active list of all nursing department employees with phone numbers.

  • Record employee tardiness, leave early occurrences, and absences daily.

  • Routinely report employee violations of the attendance policy to the D.O.N.

  • Assist with payroll related duties for the nursing department.

  • Make every effort to utilize PT or PRN staff to prevent unnecessary overtime.

  • Complete daily staffing sheets and post in the designated locations.

  • Complete AHCA 2-week staffing report and update daily with submission to the DON and Administrator, as required.

  • Maintain copies of prior period staffing sheets, schedules, and any other documents per policy.

  • Assist with scheduling staff for vacancies.

  • Calculation of PPD’s daily to ensure regulatory compliance and staffing ratios, and maintain staffing PPD’s within budgeted guidelines when possible.

  • Assist with interviewing C.N.A. candidates.

  • Assist with onboarding of new candidates to include scheduling of shifts and orientation.

  • Ensure the necessary amount of supplies are onsite and available for the nursing staff to provide resident care.
  • Stock all units as assigned, check supplies routinely.
  • Stock and replenish supplies for isolation rooms, caddy’s and carts on a daily basis.
  • Adhere to the outlined budgeted guidelines while purchasing supplies from contracted vendors.
  • Review orders and verify accuracy on billing invoices.
  • Order, receive, inventory, and track oxygen and oxygen-related supplies.
  • Track facility rental equipment (specialty beds, mattresses, wound vacs, IV pumps, wheelchairs, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

 ·        Must have LTC scheduling experience

·        Strong Attention To Detail

·        Ability To Multitask And Handle A High-Volume Workload

·        Ability To Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment

·        Basic Math Skills

·        Must maintain confidentiality

·        Must not give preferential treatment to employees

·        Must have excellent follow-through

·        Must be able to lift 60-70 pounds

·        Must be able to stand and/or walk 7-8 hours per day.

·        Must have knowledge of medical supplies, equipment ordering, stocking items for ease of use, identifying and maintain PAR levels.

  • Must be able to formulate reports, track orders, verify deliveries, account for supplies, and interpret data.
