Staff Accountant
BRADIGANS INCORPORATED is seeking an experienced Accounting employee to provide strong accounting and administrative capabilities to support the company’s continued growth. While this individual will be responsible for all traditional accounting and finance functions, he or she will also be expected to possess the experience and energy to influence constant improvement in operational performance and financial results. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
Reporting to the President and Controller, the company will rely on you to complete daily tasks such as the ones listed below:
- Prepare & Balance Daily Cash Report
- Customer Service Responsibilities – Telephone Walk-in (Shared)
- Process orders for Transports, Peddle Trucks, and Stake Bed deliveries
- Prepare, Post and File Accounts Payable & Receivable records
- Record Sales Transactions
- Enter IFTA Mileages & Complete & File Quarterly IFTA reports
- Complete Monthly Fuel Use reports for Ohio & West Virginia
- Manage Gasoline Dealer Reconciliations & EFT Collections
- Process and Post Collections and prepare bank deposits
- Calculate, File and Pay State and Federal gasoline & diesel fuel taxes
- Complete and File Worksheets for PA Sales Tax
- Manage KardGard Refueling Club, including month-end statements
- Manage and Complete AR Collections communications for all divisions
- Manage Customer and Vendor File Systems
- Help Management Create Better Methods to Grow Company’s Customer Base and Improve Its Efficiencies Concerning Day-To-Day Operations
Qualified applicants will be a proactive leader and team player; and possess experience in Accounts Receivable & Payable, Tax Compliance, planning, variance analysis, proficiency with spreadsheets and other analytical tools, and a strong desire to succeed. This is a “hands-on” position.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience in trucking or petroleum industry a plus
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Superior customer service and communication skills by phone and in person
• PC proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and able to utilize other business software applications
• Attention to detail, ability to perform accurate computations, verification of data and able to resolve issues
• Experience with PA myPATH software a plus
