What You'll Do:
● Create a Magical Learning Space: Design and implement dynamic, hands-on lessons that ignite curiosity and foster a love of learning in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.
● Nurture Little Hearts and Minds: Cultivate a positive, inclusive classroom environment rooted in Catholic values, where every child feels safe, respected, and empowered.
● Build Strong Foundations: Guide students through foundational literacy and numeracy skills, laying the groundwork for future academic success.
● Collaborate and Connect: Work closely with parents, faculty, and the principal to support each student's individual growth and development.
● Infuse Faith into Learning: Integrate Catholic teachings and traditions into daily lessons and activities, fostering spiritual growth alongside academic
achievement.
● Celebrate the Joy of Learning: Create memorable experiences that make learning fun, exciting, and meaningful.
● Continue the Legacy: uphold the high standard of excellence, and care that has been set by our previous 1st grade teacher.
What You Bring:
● A Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (or related field).
● A valid Louisiana teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain one).
● A deep love for children and a passion for early childhood education.
● Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● A commitment to Catholic education and a willingness to integrate faith into teaching.
● Creativity, enthusiasm, and a sense of adventure!
● Experience with modern teaching methods and technologies.
