Wolfgang Confectioners currently has an opening for an entry-level Accountant on our finance team. The target base salary for this role is $65,000 annually.

The Accountant will work directly with the Director of Manufacturing Accounting to support Wolfgang’s accounting function.  This role requires a strong working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and an understanding of accruals, accounts payable and receivable, reporting, and payroll.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Fixed Assets Management: Assist in tracking and maintaining fixed asset records, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.

• Prepaids Management: Manage and monitor prepaid expenses, ensuring accurate amortization and timely recognition of expenses.

• Accruals Management: Prepare and analyze monthly accruals, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and timely reporting.

• Accounts Payable/Receivable Backup: Support the AP/AR functions, including processing invoices, payment processing, and reconciliations as needed.

• Payroll Backup: Assist with payroll processing and reconciliation, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Ad-Hoc Reporting: Generate and analyze ad-hoc financial reports to support management decision-making and operational improvements.

REQUIREMENTS:

 Experience, Competencies and Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing and/or public accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Comprehensive understanding and application of accounting principles, concepts, and practices.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
