Sr. Mechanical Engineer

As Infintium works to continue advancement and development in the hydrogen fuel cell marketplace, the need to expand our growing team has never been higher. The ideal Sr.. mechanical engineer will be able to work in tandem with our team of engineers to assist with our current project load related to the industrial market rollout of new hydrogen fuel cell products. This role is perfect for gaining hands-on experience in a start-up environment. The company’s facility is located in Greenville, SC
Responsibilities / Duties:
This role at Infintium is expected to:
· Design/Develop new mechanical and electromechanical systems for fuel cell units
o Use CAD (SolidWorks) to design component and system assemblies
o Work in PDM to manage files and revision levels
· Creating and managing Bills of Materials in Excel
· Build, test, and validate prototype units
· Work with Quality, Manufacturing, and Purchase to release the system design
· Creating and updating documentation related to new products
· Participate in DFMEA meetings
· Participate in Prelim/Critical design reviews as necessary
· Support customer service/quality for field issues as necessary
· Support and drive yearly cost reduction projects
· Update Bill of Materials as necessary and support with Engineering change notices
Required Qualifications / Experience:
The applicant for this position must meet these requisites:
· Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
· Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and flexibility
· Ability to lead and drive engineering systems projects with little oversight
· Ability to critically analyze data, new processes, and technical documents
· Passion for learning and growing one’s engineering skillset and product knowledge
· Working Experience with SolidWorks 2018 (CSWA a plus)

Desire to work in a hands-on environment
Desired Knowledge / Skills
In addition, the ideal applicant would also meet the following:
· Experience in manufacturing environments, particularly assembly operations
· Knowledge of the following systems:
o Thermal systems (coolant)
o Voltage electrical systems
o Common manufacturing materials (plastics, metals, etc.)
o Design for manufacturability at different volumes for the following processes:
Ø Sheet Metal
Ø Injection Molding
Ø Metal Castings
Ø Billet Machining
Ø Rapid prototyping / 3D printing
· Experience using FEA, CFD programs
· Experience with PEM stack hydrogen fuel cells
