Job Requirements

We are looking for a Sprinkler Inspection / Service Fitter to join our team of fire protection professionals in the Cambridge area. You will be mainly responsible for inspection, service and modification of sprinkler, fire alarm and special hazards systems, with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction. Our ideal candidate will be customer focused with an excellent safety record.

Responsibilities The duties and responsibilities of the Service Sprinkler Fitter include, but are not limited to:

• Inspection, service and troubleshooting dry, pre-action, and deluge sprinkler systems.

• Performing upgrades, repairs, additions or improvements to systems.

• Preparation of inspection and deficiencies reports in a timely manner.

• Maintain proper documentation for work performed.

• Assure quality and safety controls/practices that result in a safe work environment and high quality of installation with zero-time loss due to accidents.

• Responsible for the care and use of all company issued vehicles, equipment and tools protecting the property from deterioration, damage, theft and see that the property is kept clean and properly maintained.

• Attend assigned pre-construction, coordination, and job progress meetings as necessary for installation projects and to communicate all necessary information to relevant parties.

• Attend scheduled in-house meetings/training and contribute recommendations for improvement. • Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures.

• Follow verbal and written instructions.

• Carry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbs and be capable of performing physical labor.

• Perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

• Respond to emergency calls during evenings and weekends on a rotational basis.

• Have a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly.


Requirements


LICENSING/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION

• Candidate needs to be a member in good standing with Local 853 or able to quickly gain membership with Local 853;

• Required: Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience installing and inspecting sprinkler/fire protection systems.

• Ability to work well independently.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
