Spring 2026-IT Internship Product Manager

Position Summary

JM Test Systems is looking for a Product Manager Intern to work directly with our CTO and technology team on real digital products used by our customers and employees every day. This is not a shadow role. You will do meaningful work.

You will learn what it means to be a digital product manager in a B2B company going through a genuine technology transformation. You will get hands-on exposure to product strategy, user research, engineering collaboration, and AI-assisted development practices.

What You Will Work On             

You will support work across one or more of our core digital product areas:

Customer Portal

Our customer-facing self-service platform for order tracking, calibration certificates, rental management, and service history. You will help define features, write user stories, and analyze how customers use the portal.

CalMapp

Our internal laboratory management platform used by calibration technicians and lab managers. You will support workflow improvements and help translate operational needs into product requirements

JMTest.com

Our public-facing website covering sales, rental, and calibration services. You will help identify improvements to the browsing experience, catalog accuracy, and conversion pathways.

•        Shadow and participate in product discovery sessions with internal stakeholders

•        Write user stories and acceptance criteria that engineers can act on

•        Research competitors and industry benchmarks to inform product decisions

•        Help maintain and prioritize the product backlog

•        Use AI tools including Claude to accelerate research, prototyping, and documentation

•        Analyze portal usage data and summarize findings for the team

•        Support UAT by reviewing features before release

•        Document processes, decisions, and product knowledge in a structured way

What We Are Looking For

Required

•        Pursuing a degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field

•        Genuine curiosity about how digital products are built and why users behave the way they do

•        Strong written communication, you need to be able to write clearly and concisely

•        Comfortable working with ambiguity and figuring things out

•        Familiarity with basic web concepts such as what an API is, what a database does, and how a form submits data

Preferred

•        Experience using Claude, ChatGPT, or similar AI tools in coursework or personal projects

•        Basic SQL or data analysis exposure

•        Any experience in a customer service, operations, or sales support role

•        Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Notion, or Trello
