Sprayer/Sandblaster C7 C12 C14

Avail Staffing is seeking AMPP Certified Spray Painter/Blaster Technicians (C7 C12 C13 C14) to join our dynamic team. As a AMPP Certified Sprayer/Blaster Technician, your role will include:

Responsibilities & Requirements:

-Proficient in mixing and applying epoxy and enamel paints according to specifications
-Ability to read and interpret job specifications to ensure proper completion of tasks
-Capable of completing assigned tasks within specified timeframes without on-site supervision
-Understanding of paint induction times and familiarity with spray painting or gas-free pumping procedures
-Knowledge of the differences between critical and non-critical coating systems
-Familiarity with marine-grade paints, including the interpretation of safety data sheets (SDS) and NAVSEA 718 product data sheets
-Must hold SSPC certification in preservation (C7, C12, C13, or C14)
-Comprehensive understanding of surface preparation standards, including SSPC-SP-1, SP-2, SP-3, SP-5, SP-6, SP-10, SP-11, and SP-12
-Skilled in operating power tools commonly used for surface preparation and paint removal
-Knowledge of NAVSEA 009-32 standard item requirements
-Familiarity with power tool cleaning techniques
-Capable of performing work in confined spaces while adhering to safety protocols
-Minimum of two (2) years of shipboard experience in a similar role with Journeyman-Level Proficiency

Preferred Certifications/Qualifications:

-OSHA-10 Maritime Training
-C-7 Blaster/C-12 Airless Spray/C-13 Water Jetting/C-14 Plural Component Certifications
