Reporting to the IT Superintendent, the position is responsible for the development and implementation of IT systems for the Windfall Project, which is currently in the pre-construction phase. The objective is to ensure the deployment of various technologies and systems aligned with the operational philosophy. Temporary position 3 years.

Duties and responsibilities                

•Participate in the definition of the ICT architecture (networks, servers, storage, end‑user devices, cloud/on‑prem solutions);

•Contribute to IT/OT segmentation, industrial DMZ architectures, and cybersecurity principles;

•Ensure alignment with corporate standards and site requirements;

•Support the deployment of servers, virtualization platforms, storage and backup solutions;

•Carry out the integration of operator workstations, control rooms, IOC / IROC centres;

•Ensure the availability, performance and stability of ICT systems;

•Develop and maintain architecture diagrams, technical standards and operating procedures;

•Work with international experts to adopt best practices used across Gold Fields;

•Collaborate with the global ICT team to ensure adoption of best practices;

•Work closely with operations, maintenance, the technology group, operational readiness and administrative functions;

•Collaborate with OEMs and vendors to integrate operational technologies at the mine site;

•Participate, with the commissioning team, in defining the start‑up approach to achieve project objectives.

Required qualifications

•More than 5 years of experience in industrial IT, ideally within the mining sector;

•College diploma in a relevant field;

•Excellent command of technologies, programming, and computer systems integration.

Technical skills

•Experience in defining, implementing, and managing systems.

Basic skills

•Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across multiple functions and disciplines;

•Bilingual (ability to communicate with clients and stakeholders in both French and English).
