Special Project Assistant Summer Internship
Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Type: Full-time Hybrid (2 to 3 days in office)
Location: 180 Dundas West, Suite 1902 (Downtown Toronto location at University and Dundas, near St. Patrick Station)
Salary Range: $21 hourly
About the Position
ONCAT is looking for a recent graduate or graduate student with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills to support research and administrative functions across multiple teams. The ideal candidate will have experience synthesizing information, coordinating projects, and assisting with operational tasks in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting staff with transfer payment agreement activities.
- Compiling, reviewing, and reconciling financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Assisting team members in crafting proposals, reports, spreadsheets, and other documents.
- Managing correspondence, entering data, formatting documents, and creating various written materials.
- Providing support for risk management activities.
- Supporting the planning and organization of special projects and activities.
- Collaborating with managers to develop work plans that align with special project objectives.
- Assisting with the migration of key files to SharePoint.
- Cross-referencing documents and research projects to ensure proper record-keeping.
- Attending and participating in regular team meetings.
- Providing general administrative support.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Essential Qualifications and Experiences
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Sciences discipline
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to learn and use a variety of web applications
- Ability to navigate web and gather/collect information
- Ability to build relationships to gain trust and work collaboratively
- Effective time management and project management skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft platforms (MS Office and SharePoint)
- Strong curiosity and desire to learn
- Fluency in English and French preferred
