Sous Chef

We are presently searching for our next great team member as our Sous Chef to join our Food & Beverage team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you. With a salary in the $50,000 plus rent-free housing and other benefits, this is about a $75,000 compensation package for the right person!

Responsibilities include: (but not limited to)

* Sous chef is responsible for all day-to-day operations and standards of the kitchen as well as supervision of staff under the direction of the Executive Chef.

* Deliver high standards of quality in food preparation and presentation. 
* Work with the Executive Chef to develop menus.
* Train kitchen staff on duties and oversee operations when the Executive Chef is off shift.
* Provide clear direction to kitchen team members.
* Ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and service flow.
* Ensure the kitchen is maintained to the highest standards in accordance with all Provincial food safety guidelines.
* Perform duties of cooks as required.

* Other duties and responsibilities required by the business

Job Requirements / Qualifications:

* At least 1 years of Sous Chef experience.   

* FOODSAFE certification.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

* Must be self-motivated and a high energy individual.

* Diploma/Certification in a Culinary discipline is an asset.

* A passion for preparing top quality food.

* Must be customer focused & carry the hospitality gene.

* Motivation to develop your career and your staff's career growth.

* Ability to Multitask/Troubleshoot situations while maintaining composure and a positive attitude

This is a year-round position with a minimum commitment of 1 Year.
