Social Work Clinical Associate
Alabama Regional Medical Services is currently offering a training and clinical supervision opportunity to up to four masters prepared social workers licensed at the graduate level. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of an LICSW to provide therapeutic interventions and social work services to patients in the integrated care setting.
Social Work Clinical Associates participate as members of interdisciplinary teams, and work directly with patients, families, groups, and communities. Under supervision by an LICSW, they will use an evidence-based approach to care as they conduct individual therapy, SUD services, and family support. They will also provide community outreach and engagement to traditionally underserved communities and populations while identifying and addressing social determinants of health to remove barriers to optimum health and functioning.
The ideal candidate for this opportunity will be a recent graduate of an accredited master of social work program, licensed at the LGSW level.
This is a two-year, full-time, benefitted opportunity.
Weekly clinical supervision toward licensure will be provided, along with monthly ASWE exam preparation.
Two Tracks to choose from: School-based/Pediatric Track or Lifespan Track
The associate social worker will successfully participate in scheduled individual and group supervision, and will be expected to complete assigned readings, trainings, experiences that support the profession of social work as they work toward their clinical licensure.
Upon successful completion of this program, the associate social worker will have the requisite number of supervised hours required by the Alabama Board of Social Work Examiner (ABSWE), which will average one hour per week.
The associate social worker will also participate in monthly ASWE exam prep provided by the LICSW.
Promotion to a full-time Clinical Social Worker in chosen track upon passing Licensure Exam.
