Social Media Manager & Creative Coordinator
Job Summary- Full Time
The Social Media Manager and Creative Coordinator is a vital part of the Marketing & Communications team and is responsible for boosting the social media presence of Deer Run and developing long-term growth strategies for Deer Run’s social media presence online. This position uses strategies within multiple social media platforms to connect users to the mission and ministry of Deer Run. This position is also responsible for the coordination and management of Deer Run marketing and communication design projects and materials, ensuring all design pieces adhere to Deer Run’s established visual brand standards. The Social Media Manager and Creative Coordinator has a clear understanding of online social media engagement, visual communication and design; brings creative ideas to their work; and maintains accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Research and create informed campaigns that appeal to targeted audiences.
• Collaborate with marketing team members to create a social media calendar and develops engaging and informative social media content that aligns with digital marketing strategies.
• Contribute to the content creation process by
Attending events and producing live social media content.
Assisting in creation of written, video, and photo content.
• Manage Deer Run social media accounts.
Create, schedule, and post a variety of strategic social media content on Deer Run social media accounts, such as posts, reels, stories, Q&As, polls, contests, giveaways, etc.
Monitor all social media content.
Interact with followers and respond to comments and questions. Share when Deer Run is tagged as appropriate.
Track the performance and engagement of posts and campaigns. Develop and implement strategies to increase performance and engagement.
• Develop a long-term social media strategy in coordination with the Marketing and Communications Director, developing strategies and plans to utilize additional social media platforms.
• Keep up with technologies and trends used in social media and implement within Deer Run campaigns.
• Complete assigned design projects taking direction from Marketing & Communication Director.
• Ensure high standard of excellence and attention to detail in maintaining the consistency of Deer Run's visual brand and messaging through various forms of media.
• Update existing promotional and communication materials, print pieces and files for camps, events, & retreats, and internal documents as needed/assigned.
• Create and design digital assets and print materials as needed.
• Direct and assign design projects to freelance designers as needed.
• Build email headers and templates as needed.
• Create branded social media assets as needed.
• Research and cost design projects with printers and vendors.
• Package files and export PDFs for printing as needed.
• Send design projects to printers and vendors and manage process.

Work Experience:
• 2+ years social media management
• 1+ years of experience with creative design solutions and managing a variety of design projects and deadlines
• 1 year ministry experience beneficial but not required
• Expertise with social media management tools
• Expertise in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Experience with Canva, WordPress and Elementor helpful, but not required
• Experience with printing processes, including specifications for presses, papers, inks and apparel
Education: High School Diploma or GED
