Organization: Bogus Basin Sports Education Foundation (BBSEF) Location: Boise, Idaho (with some potential for remote work or work at Bogus Basin) Type: Part time, flexible hours, weekends & some evenings.

Position Summary: BBSEF is seeking a motivated and creative Social Media & Marketing Assistant to join our team. This a a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in non-profit marketing, digital communications, and social media management, while contributing to the growth and visibility of a beloved local organization. The ideal candidate will be a skier/snowboarder with a passion for sports, youth development, and a strong understanding of current social media trends.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation:

Assist in planning, creating, and curating engaging content (e.g., photos, videos, graphics, written posts) for various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).

Develop compelling stories about BBSEF athletes, programs, and events.

Help design and refresh digital marketing collateral.

Social Media Management:

Schedule and publish posts across all BBSEF social media channels to maintain a consistent online presence.

Monitor social media accounts for comments, messages, and engagement, and assist with community interaction.

Stay up-to-date on emerging social media trends, features, and best practices.

Marketing Support:

Support the development and execution of social media marketing campaigns to increase awareness, engagement, and support for BBSEF.

Assist with the creation of email newsletters and other digital communications.

Conduct research on marketing trends, competitor analysis, and audience engagement.

Support marketing efforts for BBSEF events and fundraising initiatives.

Analytics and Reporting:

Track and analyze social media performance using analytics tools (e.g., Facebook Insights, Instagram Insights).

Assist in preparing reports on social media growth, engagement, and campaign effectiveness.

Administrative Support:

Perform other administrative and marketing-related duties as assigned.

Collaborate effectively with the BBSEF team.

Qualifications:

If hired I will obtain a US Ski and Snowboard membership and submit to a background check.

Strong understanding and proficiency in major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail and grammar.

Basic graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and/or video editing skills are a strong plus.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.

Passion for outdoor sports, youth development, and the mission of BBSEF.

Familiarity with non-profit organizations is a bonus.
