Snow Removal Crew Member
Overview
KILEY Outdoor Services is seeking reliable, on-call snow removal crew members to support residential snow and ice management during winter weather events. This role is as-needed and weather-dependent. There are no guaranteed hours. Crew members are activated during snow events based on availability, operational need, and reliability. This position is ideal for individuals who want flexible, seasonal work and can respond when storms occur.
Responsibilities
Perform residential snow removal, including:
- Plowing or snow blowing
- Shoveling sidewalks, walkways, and entry points
- Applying salt or ice melt
- Work as part of a team across assigned routes
- Follow safety procedures and company standards
- Communicate clearly before and during snow events
- Be prepared for extended shifts during active storms
- Report issues, hazards, or concerns to the crew lead or operations team
Schedule & Availability
- On-call during snow events (daytime, overnight, weekends, and holidays)
- Shifts vary based on storm size and duration
- Availability may be requested in advance for forecasted storms
- Crew members must be able to respond promptly when contacted
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation to report to work
- Physically able to perform outdoor labor in winter conditions
- Ability to work long shifts when required
- Dependable, punctual, and responsive
- Willingness to follow direction and work as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior snow removal, landscaping, or outdoor labor experience
- Familiarity with snow blowers
- Strong work ethic and reliability during time-sensitive operations
Compensation
Starting at $20/hour (based on experience)
Opportunity for Continued Employment
High-performing snow crew members may be considered for seasonal or full-time lawn care and outdoor services positions in the spring.
