Slitter Operator
Slitter Operator (Second Shift) (Warren)
A steel manufacturing company based in Warren is looking for a Slitter Operator with experience operating a loop slitter, as well as experience setting up steel slitting heads, or similar sheet steel processing equipment.
DUTIES INCLUDED, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Work safely with high-speed steel processing equipment
Safely and accurately operate slitter
Supervise and direct slitting assistants and set-up person to ensure quality results
Set up slitter heads
Check and prepare raw materials
Ensure master coil dimensions are correct
Set up re-coiler for material being slit
Band and label material accurately after slitting
Unload slit material with fork-lift if qualified
QUALIFICATIONS:
PREVIOUS SLITTER OPERATION (OR RELATED) EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Ability to read the following:
• Tape Measure
• Micrometer
• Caliper
Ability to work with fine tolerances
Attention to detail
Reliable transportation
Ability to work as part of a team
Good attitude
COMPENSATION:
Hourly rate starting at $25 - $28/hr. Additional based upon experience
