Shuttle/Bellperson
Responds in a professional and courteous manner to arriving, departing and in-house guests by providing accurate and timely information and services. Responds to in-person inquires regarding reservations, hotel information and guest concerns. Transports guests safely and courteously in the company van in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
· Escorts incoming hotel guests to rooms, assists with hand luggage, and offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest, and entertainment attractions.
· Makes guest reservations for tours, dining, rental cars, etc.
· Explains features of room such as operation of heating/cooling system, radio, television, and night lock, and how to place telephone calls.
· Locates guests in lobby, dining room, or other parts of hotel.
· Delivers messages and runs errands.
· Calls taxi or any other car service for guests upon request.
· Keeps record of calls for service.
· Delivers packages & suitcases.
· Tidies lobby and front entrance.
· Picks up guest laundry from rooms, and deliver items back to rooms after dry cleaning service delivery.
· Assists with gift shop shipments, stocking shelves, and inventory, along with monitoring storeroom.
· Maintains logs on vehicles for registration, oil change and maintenance, safety inspection checks
· Coordinates transportation requests.
· Informs front desk of whereabouts at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED. Six months to one year customer service experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisors, and fellow Associates.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Must be able to calculate amounts and apply basic addition, subtraction and multiplication.
REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to make appropriate judgments regarding the process of assisting guests with luggage and hotel services.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have a valid state CDL driver’s license. Must have a good motor vehicle record.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Practice written safety standards and rules at all times. Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds. This position frequently requires walking, driving, reaching, and use of hands and fingers.
HOURS
Due to the business demands of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the hotel provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any Associate may be required to work rotating shifts, including weekends, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on business demands, hours may be reduced at any time.
